वास्तु शास्त्र के मुताबिक घर में या दफ्तर में ईशान कोण सबसे ज्यादा अहम माना जाता है। मान्यता है कि इस कोण में भगवान का वास होता है। इसलिए दिवाली की सफाई करते वक्त घर के इस हिस्से को सबसे पहले और बहुत अच्छे से साफ करें।<br>इस बात का खास ख्याल रखें कि ईशान कोण में कोई भी गंदी या बिना काम की कोई भी चीज न रखें क्योंकि ऐसा करने से माँ लक्ष्मी का आगमन नहीं होता है। इसलिए ईशान कोण में साफ-सफाई का बेहद खास ध्यान रखें।

वास्तु शास्त्र के मुताबिक घर के ब्रह्म क्षेत्र का भी बहुत महत्व होता है क्योंकि इस स्थान को बहुत फलदायी माना जाता है। इसलिए दिवाली के त्योहार पर ब्रह्म स्थान को अच्छे से साफ करें और इस बात का विशेष ध्यान रखें कि यहां कोई बड़ा फर्नीचर और बिना काम का सामान न रखा हो।

घर की पूर्व दिशा को भी साफ रखना भी बहुत अहम माना जाता है क्योंकि इस दिशा में साफ-सफाई होने से घर में सकारात्मक ऊर्जा बनी रहती है। धनतेरस के दिन भी पूजा के वक्त इस दिशा की सफाई अच्छे से करनी चाहिए। इससे माँ लक्ष्मी बहुत प्रसन्न होती हैं और अपने भक्तों को आशीर्वाद देती हैं।

Keeping the east direction of the house clean is also considered very important because due to cleanliness in this direction, positive energy remains in the house.
